Microsoft Announces Windows 11 – An Insiders View

Microsoft announced something big in the works during Satya Nadella’s opening announcement at the Microsoft Build conference on May 25th, 2021. He mentioned to mark your calendars for the official announcement on June 24th, and that’s what I did. During the announcement on June 24th, it was to my amazement Microsoft announced Windows 11!

Microsoft had announced several years ago that Windows 10 would be the last version of Windows, so this news about Windows 11 was very exciting. I hit social media and noticed a lot of excitement about the announcement. It was mentioned Insiders in the Dev Channel will be seeing the update as soon as the following week.

Being a Microsoft Windows Insider for several years, I have had the privilege to test many versions of Windows. I found myself checking for new updates everyday, then on the morning of June 28th, there it was!

I didn’t have any problems during the installation process, and the new UI during the install was a nice change. With Windows 11 now installed, the fun began.

I started checking everything out and was presently pleased by the new UI changes. I have been testing Windows 11 now for one month, and my experience has been great.

As always, the Insider program is about providing valuable feedback on issues or suggestions while you test the product. I have noticed several small issues, and have reported them via the Feedback Hub, and am glad to see many of the issues have been resolved as the new builds are being released.
